Can the Epistemic Value of Natural Kinds Be Explained Independently of Their Metaphysics?

The account of natural kinds as stable property clusters is premised on the possibility separating epistemic value from their underlying metaphysics. On that account, (i) co-instantiation any sub-cluster properties associated with a given kind raises probability rest, and (ii) this clustering instantiation invariant under all relevant counterfactual perturbations. We argue it not possible to evaluate stability cluster without taking stock metaphysical picture used for stability. Thus, even remains partly grounded in status.
